weddings // engagement paparazzi

This is a branch of my business I am extremely interested in expanding!  I think it's a VERY thoughtful, smart thing for dudes to do for their future wife: capturing the proposal on camera (either video or still).

It certainly takes some premeditation and creativity to make it work without making the lady in question suspicious, but I also think that most women would greatly appreciate both the effort expended and the resulting memories.

Here are some of my favorite engagement "paparazzi" shots!  Fellas, please give this option some serious consideration.

Another recommendation for guys planning a proposal?  Get her friends and family to be there to share the joy!  Evani has a great story for this (her man proposed at her favorite place, Disneyland, and then all her family jumped out!).   Here are some more rad photos from proposals, this time of happy family greeting the new bride-to-be.

And of course, this video is the ultimate in surprise, involving friends and family, and capturing the whole thing for fond memories!  I cry every time I see it.  Break out the tissues.

I also found this link that has tons of videos of proposals caught on (video) camera!

How did your man propose?  Did he have someone take photos or video?  If you're not engaged or married yet, do you have a dream proposal scenario?

  1. I also cry almost every time I watch that video. I so wish that there was someone to capture our special moment, but alas. At least he took me to my parent's house straight after.

  2. All of these are so stinkin' sweet. And that video. Oh. My. Gosh. I actually just got engaged last night (!!!) and he just did it in our bedroom, but it's still a moment that I will remember for the rest of my life. He said he was going to wait until Valentine's day to propose and do something special but he just couldn't wait ;)

  3. I love the idea of having an engagement photographed. I always love seeing the "in the moment" reactions. So cute.

  4. Personally, I love the idea of having someone there to capture the proposal. I know that some people think they'd like to be alone, but I wanted to remember that moment! I love all of these pictures (and these guys deserve some serious credit for having a photographer there). xoxo

  7. I also cry every time I watch that video! My husband coordinated with my coworkers to propose to me there (since I am very close to them) and invited several of his friends along to take photos, and one of them put a really nice video together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro7noVAsIW4 I love being able to watch it and relive the moment!

  10. Gah, I love that video! It just keeps getting more awesome and sweeter with every time I watch it. I don't have a dream proposal scenario, but I would definitely want it to somewhere extra special. I only wish my boyfriend would remember to film/photograph the event! That would be amazing. <3
